I wanted to use the old cedar fencing boards from my deck for something. The question was for what? Initially, theses boards looked old and ugly by comparison with the new, red-faced cedar planks. They were old, grey, and weathered. However, after months of contemplating, I finally saw something very human in the beautiful grains in the  wood. So I cut and then carved these images into these planks before applying acrylic paint. Each piece is 10.25″ x 5.25″. Hold cursor over image for description or click for enlargement.
