The father of a good friend of mine from middle school in Japan has inspired me in many ways. He was an author, a Master Haiku poet, and a profound thinker. I dedicate this series of clay sculptures called Moonlight to him – he loved the moon and often wrote haikus about it. I have left the eyes and mouths of these sculptures open so that the moonlight can shine through. Hold cursor over image for description or click for enlargement.
