Momo gallery is honoured to exhibit the works of noted artist Warabé Aska.

Avid collector of Warabé’s artwork, Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado of Japan wrote in a message in one of his books, “I remember being fascinated by the amazing clarity of his colours, by the balance between reality and fantasy and the warm humour and love of life that was portrayed in his paintings.”

Mr. Aska is a Japanese born, Toronto based artist, illustrator, and author. He has produced seven picture books, including his 1984 children’s picture book about our very own High Park. It’s entitled “Who Goes To The Park” and it won the City of Toronto Book Award that year. At the bottom of this page, you can read about some of Warabé’s accomplishments.
